RECIPE OF THE WEEK
Beef Au
Jus Sandwiches
1 large
onion, sliced
1 can beef broth
2 tablespoons balsamic
vinegar
1 rump roast
1 envelope Italian
dressing mix
salt & pepper
hogie buns
green pepper (sliced) and
provolone cheese
Place onion slices and
broth in a slow cooker.
Brush all sides of meat
with vinegar. Place
on onions and sprinkle
salad dressing mix over
meat. Salt and
pepper the meat.
Cover and cook on low
setting 8 - 10 hours.
Before serving, slice meat
thinly across grain or
shred the meat. Put
back in to the juices.
To serve: Spoon beef
on to bottom half of bun.
Top with green pepper and
cheese and top with bun
half. Serve with
juices from roast.
